Scrawled on a soggy scrap of paper at the beach yesterday:

Conf’rence call — cancelled.
Plan B: Pack lunch, grab suit, GO.
Low tide, warm waves. Bliss.

That’s the best haiku I’ve read in a long, long time. It perfectly describes your urgency to get away to the water and to kick back, leaving everything else behind.
I’m so glad you went and even gladder that you shared your adventure in via haiku.
If I may add, you’re looking smart in your cap, necklaces and swimsuit!
Why, thanks.
What a great way to spend a Friday. I’m so jealous. Great picture! The sea, sunny, and lunch sound perfect!
It most definitely was. One of the wonderful things about living at the beach.
Jealous. Jealous. Jealous. Glad you had a camera and a scrap of paper to capture the beauty of the day.
Ah… There is always PLENTY of room on the beach for more!
I never really got how haiku’s worked, but I love it! And I’m jealous…I wish I lived by the beach right now.
I don’t know if there’s something where you’re supposed to have one theme per line or anything. All I know is 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. Yeah, living near the beach is lovely.
