How am I doing with the Creativity Workshop, you ask?
I have two stories-in-progress from the first section of the workshop. I posted snippets of the second story ideas in these Flash Fictions — here and here — and the blog comments (thanks, everyone!) reinforced my thinking that this story could move in some interesting directions if I followed it around for a while. It could even form the premise of this year’s National Novel Writing Month effort for me. Who knows? I’ll let you know in November.
Now I’ve moved certain parts of my brain to the next phase of the workshop — breaking the rules, breaking the law — and I am working on the first story. It’s fun to do a little diabolical thinking and we’ll see where that takes me.
heh heh.
Watch out…….

I’m anxious to read the results of your diabolical thinking. Breaking the rules…breaking the law…sounds like something well worth reading is on its way.
I’m such a goody two shoes at heart that my idea of diabolical and REAL diabolical will probably be far, far apart. But who knows??
Now this sounds like a fun segment! I’m still holding onto Seraphim Dragons for NaNo, but as always my schedule is fluid, or fickled.
I think it’s safe to say that sometime around December 1 I’ll begin to know what my NaNo is/was about….
LOL! Glad to see I’m not the only one wholly unprepared for NaNo. I have one firm–okay, semi-firm idea for NaNo. It’s my character’s name. Hee hee! Oh, and I’m pretty sure it’ll be a romance novel.
I can’t wait to see where diabolical will take you.
Great!! So this means you’re doing NaNo again? I am undecided…
Glad to hear you’re back into the workshop swing. I switched the order of my sets, so I wouldn’t have to do any diabolical thinking just now, but more power to you.
GOOD FOR YOU!!! Sounds like you are moving along with the assignments and have some new perspectives and story ideas to work with. Diabolical – yes – bring it on.
Ooh diabolical? Sounds fascinating!
Oh. Dear. NOW I feel the pressure from all sides. Diabolical? Can I do it? I usher spiders outdoors. I apologize to tomatoes. This morning I spent five minutes moving garden snails off the driveway before pulling the car out.
I need to work on this diabolical mindset a bit.
